Natalie has over 20 years of experience in corporate and nonprofit leadership as an Executive and Board member. Her areas of focus include: alternative ownership and finance, sustainable business leadership, food systems, people and organizational development, social movements and change-making.
Natalie is nationally recognized for her work on transformative ownership and investment models. In 2018, she pioneered the use of a Perpetual Purpose Trust to hold corporate ownership as a succession plan for the largest distributor of organic produce in the US that enshrined long-term mission-focus, shared governance and returns with the stakeholder community.
In 2018, she launched Alternative Ownership Advisors, to help founders of mission-driven companies with ownership and capitalization strategies that match with their values. In 2023, she launched Purpose Owned , a consultancy for ownership & leadership succession planning using Purpose Trusts.
Natalie has worked on Purpose Trust transactions with a wide variety of companies, across industries from $3M-$800M, with 20-2000 employees, including: Organically Grown Company, Zingerman’s, Natural Investments, Concept2, Biohabitats, Vernier Science Education, Local Ocean Seafood, Sundance Natural Foods, Grand Central Baking.
