The New Jersey/New York Center for Employee Ownership (NJ/NY CEO) is a regional employee ownership center at Rutgers University's School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) in Piscataway, NJ, launched in 2017. It builds understanding of employee ownership as a business succession strategy that keeps jobs local, working with business owners, advisors, public officials and employees across New Jersey and New York. The center runs free online education programs for owners and advisors, webinars, research and a business exit planning conference, and with the Rutgers Institute for the Study of Employee Ownership and Profit Sharing leads ESOP education and outreach for New Jersey in partnership with the NJ Economic Development Authority.
